Clusterplast | European Tooling Forum COMMON INITIATIVE
Embodying the privileged Industry summit of the Tooling and Polymer Processing sectors, the initiative will comprise:
- a Clusterplast project’s dissemination event and technical conference, to be held in Tortona on the 24th September; and
- the 2009 edition of the European Tooling Forum, to be held in Milan, on the 25th September.
Clusterplast’s dissemination event and technical conference – 24th September – Tortona, Italy:
The Clusterplast project –Intercluster initiative to target the future challenges for the European polymer converting industry–, is a EU Framework Programme 7 project which aims to promote further synergies between European clusters, active in the Polymer Converting Industry, by the set up of a Joint Action Plan, leveraging complementarities, best practices and networking opportunities, as a contribution towards employment, sustainability and an enhanced competitiveness of the European Industry. Building on the project’s work, on the assessment of the European state-of-play and the international benchmarking study –on Japanese and US clusters– the Common Initiative’s 1st day will be dedicated to the CLUSTERPLAST DISSEMINATION EVENT, focusing on the presentation of the project’s first results and on the discussion over the perspectives for a Clusters’ Joint Action Plan, while integrating at the same a technical conference on the latest trends on key technologies for the Industry. Tortona will host the 1st day’s events of the Common Initiative.
II European Tooling Forum – 25th September – Milan, Italy:
Following the success of the 2007 edition, held in Lisbon, the Milan’s European Tooling Forum will embody once again the Tooling Industry Summit. Congregating the Industry, decision-makers and responsibles for national and European public policies, representatives from associations, research centres and universities, clients, entrepreneurs and renowned experts, the European Tooling Forum will gather the Industry’s stakeholders to discuss and highlight the Moulding and Special Tooling Industry’s importance and strategic positioning for the sustainable development of European Industry and Employment. Coinciding with the Italian Presidency of ISTMA-Europe the Milan’s European Tooling Forum will embody, integrate and leverage the established priorities, consistently fostered by ISTMA Europe’s multiple activities over the last years.
Under the umbrella Clusterplast | European Tooling Forum a shared vision is promoted: to push and reinforce Industrial policies supporting a more competitive Industry in Europe.
